Solar Flare: Luxe Silky Sock

The Flower Power Fund is a fundraising campaign supporting Marie Curie UK, a wonderful charity which supports people living with a terminal illness.  The brainchild of @Sherlock_knits, a year long campaign of yarny loveliness brings a new colourway each month under the theme of '50 laps around the sun'.  June is the turn of ourselves, and this is 'Solar Flare'.
 
Taking the theme somewhat literally, Caroline went staight to the sun for inspiration, finding a marvelous photograph (Photo credit: NASA/JPL-Caltech) taken showing x-ray flares from the surface of the sun.  This has led to not one, but two colourways (the other, 'A Different Lens', can be found in its own listing) this one being 'Solar Flare' a bold gold variagated yarn flecked with speckles of purple and bronze.
 
Available on the Luxe Silky Sock base, this beautifully soft and silky fingering weight yarn is 50% Superwash Merino / 50% silk with 400m per 100g the sheen on this yarn is very luxurious and elevates the gold of 'Solar Flare' 
 
For every skein sold £3 will be donated to Marie Curie UK via the Flower Power Fund.
